Move-in Shabbat, August 14–15, 2026
Chabad WashU is delighted to invite first-year students and their families to join us for a joyful Shabbat of meals, services, and connection. We’re expecting hundreds of guests for this Shabbat dinner. We've invited Chancellor Martin and other university leaders – we’ll keep you posted.
Shabbat at Chabad is the single largest weekly gathering of Jewish students at WashU – open, welcoming, and filled with warmth. Sponsorships for the 2026–27 school year are now available.
To keep Shabbat free for students, non-student guests (parents, alumni, and others) are charged $28 for dinner and $18 for lunch.
Students should RSVP using the Cha-bot.
Note to students moving in on Friday: Let your RA or RCD know you plan to attend Shabbat dinner and you should be able to be excused from a mandatory floor meeting on Friday night, especially if you offer participate in the same meeting on Saturday night with the students who moved in on Saturday.
