Kabalat Shabbat

Welcome the Shabbat with dozens of students at a traditional prayer service, featuring joyous singing and a bit of dancing. Plus, come early to light Shabbat candles at the Chabad House! (Candelighting is at 5:58 pm. Havdalla at 6:54 pm.)

Classic Shabbat Dinner at Chabad

Students and their families are cordially invited to join Rabbi Hershey and Chana Novack for a classic “Chabad-Style” Shabbat dinner. We will be joined by special guest speaker: Dean  of Students Rob Wild.  RSVP for this event here.

Each week Chabad hosts large Shabbat and holiday celebrations with hundreds of student participants. Hallmarks of our program include a warm family environment, rich intellectual stimulation, and delicious home-style food. Shabbat at Chabad is an example of our broader program philosophy to deliver Jewish experiences that are both relevant and meaningful to students in an inclusive and welcoming space.

Shabbat Lunch (partnership with Chabad and Hillel)

Location at WashU Hillel, 6300 Forsyth Blvd.

In the spirit of bringing our community together during Parent & Family Weekend, Chabad WashU and Hillel are co-hosting Shabbat lunch at Hillel! Shabbat lunch is free for students and student reservations are not required. Cost for parents and family members is $12 per person. Please RSVP by Monday, October 16th, 2017.
