WashU Reunion at Thurtene Carnival | April 17–19, 2026
We are thrilled to welcome alumni back to campus.
No matter how many years have passed since you walked through our doors, you are always part of the Chabad at WashU family. This weekend is a chance to come home — to reconnect with the people and the place that meant so much during your time here, and to see firsthand how our community has grown and evolved.

Shabbat Dinner with Chabad
Friday evening, April 17, 7–9 p.m.
Join us for a Classic Shabbat Dinner and see how our community has grown, especially in the wake of October 7. Discover firsthand why this is the most popular event for Jewish students each week! Shabbat at Chabad embodies our mission to offer meaningful Jewish experiences in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Preceded by Davening (and Tefilin and Candlelighting) at 6:15 p.m.

After Dinner Alumni Reception (21+)
Friday evening, April 17, 8:30-ish p.m.
Stick around after dinner for an exclusive post-dinner reception for alumni and students over 21. Reconnect with old friends, meet current students, and hear firsthand about our exciting vision and plans for the future of Chabad at WashU.
Open House and Shabbat Kiddush
Shabbat day, April 18, 12:30–3:30 p.m.
After services on Shabbat morning — beginning at 10 a.m. — all are invited to drop by a special open house and Shabbat Kiddush for light lunch, snacks, and a meet-and-greet with Rabbi Hershey Novack.

Booth at the Thurtene Carnival
Sunday, April 19, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
As in previous years, we'll be hosting a booth at the carnival. This year we're bringing the Chabad Kosher Deli — serving up pastrami sandwiches, pickles, drinks, and possibly a sabich sandwich. Come find us on the lot near the entrance to Francis Field on Sunday!
